Position Summary: 

The Premier League’s Broadcaster Servicing and Activation team is looking for a Senior Manager, Broadcaster Servicing and Distribution, Americas to support the exploitation of the Premier League's media rights in the Americas.

As an important member of the Media Rights team, working for the Head of Broadcaster Servicing and Activation and collaboratively with the broader Media Rights team, this role will have primary responsibility for the execution and delivery of media rights partnerships with English-language broadcasters in the Americas region. The right candidate will have a background in media rights servicing and activation, as well as an astute understanding of the commercial drivers that make media rights partnerships a success. They will have experience of providing a key interface between a rights holder and its client(s).

This will be underpinned by a good understanding of the media industry (including in relation to premium sports rights) and a passion for exceptional client service and delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage, support, and develop the utilisation, activation, and promotion of Premier League rights and serve as the primary contact for Premier League English-language rights holders in the Americas region;

  • Work with colleagues, Clubs and Premier League Productions to ensure that all rights holders have access to a ‘best-in-class’ service and one commensurate with the Premier League’s standing as a premium rights holder;

  • Understand growth objectives of business owners/functional leads from a position of knowledge in order to support their success;

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all media rights agreements and associated directives/guidelines;

  • Act as the Broadcasting department contact for any market specific requests/issues from Broadcasters, Commercial Partners, sponsors and international development initiatives across the region;

  • Ongoing market assessment of all territories throughout the Americas and work closely alongside colleagues in both the US and UK offices; 

  • Support the broader Media team in London in developing new opportunities for Premier League media rights exploitation, fan engagement, and promotion;

  • Contribute to the content localisation and product development of the Premier League’s international production offering;

  • Help develop in-market relations and contacts that will assist with planning and delivery of major events in market (Premier League Summer Series, live screenings etc);

  • Build trust internally and externally by navigating issues pragmatically and professionally;

  • Harness the Premier League eco-system to better support broadcaster priorities and plans in both the short and long-term;

  • Outstanding customer service mindset, including implementing their philosophy to ‘surprise and delight’ their clients.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 - 10+ years in a commercial business environment, within a rights holder, broadcaster, corporate brand management, business development, or advertising / digital agency;

  • Proven project management skills and experience;

  • Proven expertise in a client servicing team, within a sports rights holder, governing body, agency, or working for a sponsor brand would be an advantage;

  • Relationship management skills to develop, maintain and strengthen client and stakeholder relationships including internal and external relationships;

  • Strategic thinking mindset to support clients’ objectives and drive business growth and innovation internally and externally;

  • Problem solving with the ability to identify and resolve complex problems;

  • Analytical skills critical to gather and interpret data, draw insights and make informed decisions to improve client service delivery;

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal;

  • Crisis management skills and senior ability to work effectively under pressure in a dynamic environment;

  • Excellent command of corporate IT tools and ability to follow the internal user rules (Outlook, etc.)

Salary:

$150,000 - $175,000

George Williams - Managing Director, UK & Europe

George Williams joined TurnkeyZRG in 2023 to lead the organization’s international expansion into Europe. Based in London, he brings over 15 years of executive search experience across Sport & Media. George will also work closely with ZRG’s Sucherman division to support its ongoing growth in the region. Prior to joining TurnkeyZRG, George was a Partner at Savannah Group, where he led and grew the organization’s Sport & Media Practice across Europe. He previously served at Odgers Berndtson as an Associate, supporting the launch of their Sports Practice and leading the delivery of multiple assignments.
