Background:
The Laver Cup is an annual men’s tennis competition, created to honor the great Rod Laver, and inspired by golf’s Ryder Cup, where six of the best men’s players from Europe take on six of their counterparts from the rest of the world for three days of intense team competition. Roger Federer's management company, TEAM8, Tennis Australia, the United States Tennis Association, and Brazilian businessman and former Davis Cup player Jorge Paulo Lemann, partnered to create the Laver Cup.
The tournament takes place in a different bucket-list city each year with Prague (2017), Chicago (2018), Geneva (2019), Boston (2021), London (2022), Vancouver (2023) and Berlin (2024) having hosted the first seven editions and San Francisco hosting in 2025. The Laver Cup has been heralded by fans, sponsors, broadcasters, and players, and has quickly become a must-see event on the sporting calendar. Tennis legends and great rivals Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe captained Team Europe and Team World respectively for the last time this year.

Position Summary:
The Laver Cup sponsorship portfolio is growing, and we are seeking a talented Account Manager to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a relationship-driven professional with a passion for sports to make a meaningful impact by supporting and enhancing sponsor relationships for one of the premier global tennis events.
As a key member of the partnerships team, this individual will ensure that sponsors receive exceptional value by overseeing deliverables, supporting activations, and driving sponsor satisfaction. From managing relationships to coordinating innovative activations and delivering insights, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to the Laver Cup’s continued success.
Essential Functions:
Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned sponsors, while providing support to other sponsor accounts, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.
Manage the renewal process for sponsors, securing continued partnerships and long-term value alignment.
Understand sponsor objectives and tailor activations to meet their goals.
Develop and deliver sponsorship activation plans, ensuring all contract elements are fulfilled.
Provide exceptional customer service, proactively addressing sponsor needs.
Activation and Execution
Coordinate with internal teams to execute sponsorship deliverables, including branding, broadcast, hospitality, digital, and social media elements.
Ensure timely delivery of all sponsors’ assets.
Manage on-site sponsor activations during the event, ensuring seamless execution and maximum impact.
Work closely with the operations teams to align sponsorship activations with event logistics.
Reporting and Analysis
Track and report on sponsorship performance metrics, including detailed post-event recaps with analytics, highlights, and recommendations for future improvements.
Strategic Growth
Identify opportunities to upsell and present innovative ideas to enhance sponsor value.
Administration
Maintain organized records of sponsorship agreements, deliverables, and communications.
Assist in preparing sponsorship presentations.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years of account management or sponsorship experience, ideally within sports and entertainment.
Proven success managing multiple client relationships and achieving sponsor renewals.
Demonstrated integrity and professionalism in all interactions, conveying trust and transparency with clients and colleagues.
Strong project management and organizational abilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce and Asana.
Analytical mindset with experience in tracking and reporting sponsorship performance metrics.
Familiarity with event operations and brand activations.
Skilled in relationship building and delivering high levels of client satisfaction.
Passion for professional sports (tennis preferred) and an understanding of fan and sponsor engagement.
Ability to work creatively and efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Availability to travel for events and assignments as needed.
Salary:
$70,000 - $90,000 plus 10% bonus

James Jordan joined TurnkeyZRG in early 2023 in the role of Director, Marketing Partnerships, focused on corporate partnership recruiting. Mr. Jordan has made an immediate impact, placing partnership executives at organizations including the Golden State Warriors, LA Chargers, LaLiga, the Laver Cup, and more. Prior to joining TurnkeyZRG, James garnered valuable experience on both the strategy side and sales side of the corporate partnership business and has represented marquee teams and venues including the LA Rams (NFL), LA Chargers (NFL) and SoFi Stadium & Hollywood Park (Los Angeles, CA).
