Position Summary:

gamma. is in search of an experienced and strategic finance and accounting leader to join their organization as the Vice President of Finance. As a key member of the senior team, the VP of Finance will be instrumental in the buildout of financial systems and infrastructure, regular financial reporting, and strategic financial management across gamma’s portfolio of companies and partners. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the financial health of gamma’s dynamic and innovative organization in the ever-evolving music and entertainment industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning 

    • Develop and implement financial strategies and accounting systems, tools, and processes. 

    • Develop and maintain accounting policies and systems compliant with GAAP and international standards. 

    • Provide leadership in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. 

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis

    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses. 

    • Coordinate the preparation of domestic and international regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property, and other applicable taxes. 

    • Provide insightful financial analysis to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends. 

  • Risk Management 

    • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, proposing strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. 

    • Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations. 

  • Cash Flow Management

    • Manage the company's cash flow, optimizing liquidity and working capital. 

    • Implement strategies to enhance cash flow forecasting and reporting. 

  • Investment Analysis

    • Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial analysis to support decision-making. 

    • Collaborate with business units to assess the financial viability of potential projects and initiatives. 

  • Financial Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements. 

    • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews. 

  • Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Partner with executive leadership to drive financial performance and contribute to strategic decision-making. 

    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support the achievement of business objectives. 

  • Team Leadership

    • Build and lead a high-performing finance team. 

    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and excellence. 

Required Qualifications:  

  • Strong financial modeling and analysis skills. 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and IFRS. 

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align financial initiatives with business goals. 

  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and systems. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Works well under pressure and adept at meeting tight deadlines. 

  • Prior experience in the entertainment or music industry. 

Background Requirements:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

  • CPA or equivalent qualification. 

  • 10+ years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial management role.
