Position Summary:
AXS is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Artist Relations (VP) to lead its presence in Nashville and drive the company's continued evolution in the live entertainment industry. This high-impact executive role will serve as one of AXS' key representatives within both the Nashville music scene and the broader live entertainment community.
The VP will cultivate and strengthen relationships with tour promoters, artist managers, agents, record labels, and other key industry stakeholders while working closely with existing AXS clients. This leader will spearhead the introduction and expansion of AXS' Artist Services capabilities, develop and implement innovative ticketing strategies, and champion the adoption of AXS' cutting-edge artist-to-fan engagement solutions. The VP will oversee a high-performing team with a focus on fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and delivering white-glove service to artists, partners, and stakeholders. Additionally, the VP will play a critical role in driving ticket sales, fan engagement initiatives, and promotional campaigns to maximize revenue and audience reach.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify, solicit, secure, and nurture long-term business relationships with top-tier artists, talent managers, and key industry players to support company growth and expand AXS portfolio.
Engage regional industry partners (artist managers, talent agents, promoters, fan community consultants, record labels, et al.) with AXS’ ticketing products and tools, including, but not limited to, APEX Pro, AXS Anywhere, AXS Mobile Reporting App, AXS Premium, AXS VIP, and Presales.
Act as a liaison between AXS and regional industry partners, as it relates to AXS products and services.
Develop strategies to attract high-profile artists and major promoters to the platform, driving exceptional growth and enhancing the brand's reputation in the market.
Collaborate with internal teams to create ticketing solutions tailored to artists’ and promoters’ needs.
Leverage data and insights to provide artists and promoters with sales trends and audience analytics.
Adept at navigating complex projects, ensuring flawless execution of large-scale partnerships, events, and artist collaborations.
Serve as a spokesperson for AXS at industry conferences, festivals, and networking events, championing the company’s vision, fostering relationships, and driving brand recognition in key markets.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, legal, operations, and other internal teams to align business development initiatives and ensure seamless execution of artist-related projects.
Identify new revenue opportunities through artist collaborations, including but not limited to sponsorships, product partnerships, and digital campaigns.
Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
10 years of Business Development in the live events/entertainment industry and/or general Music Industry Experience.
In-depth knowledge of the live music industry, with a keen understanding of the intricate dynamics of concert ticketing and its role in driving revenue.
Proven expertise in business development, deal negotiation, and managing high-profile relationships.
Strong leadership skills with people management experience, inspiring and guiding cross-functional teams towards shared goals in a fast-paced, high-achieving environment.
Exceptional analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with a talent for making data-driven decisions and effectively presenting ideas.
A team player with a “can-do” attitude, passion for delivering excellence, and experience in a “start-up” setting where collaboration and innovation drive success.
Proven track record of success in collaborative team environments, with a drive to achieve and exceed goals.
Leverages emotional intelligence to navigate complex internal and external politics, fostering collaboration and achieving strategic outcomes.
A strong reputation in the Nashville and broader music scene with a robust network of influential industry players strongly preferred.
